Abstract:

Based on the perspective of export price, this paper compares international trade to the matching price problem between buyers and sellers, adopts the bilateral stochastic frontier analysis model, constructs the bargaining power index of global value chain, and explores the evolution of Chinese industries global value chain division position from 2002 to 2022. The study found that China's overall global value chain bargaining power index increased in fluctuations. There is an obvious duality in the evolution of China's global value chain division position. While the global value chain division position of some labor-intensive and resource-intensive industries is improving, some of them are declining; while the global value chain division position of some capital–intensive and technology–intensive industries is improving, some of them are also declining. Competition in the global value chain is fierce. On the whole, the possibility of improving Chinese industries global value chain division position is higher than the possibility of decreasing.
