Using China's county-level panel data from 2018 to 2020, this paper empirically studies the impact and mechanisms of digital rural construction on the common prosperity of farmers. The results show that digital rural construction cansignificantly promote the growth of farmers' incomes. Heterogeneity analysis indicates that, in counties with stronger govern.ance capacity, those farther away from national central cities, and industrial counties, the effect of digital rural constructionon income growth is greater, f'uther analysis shows that digital rural construction can narrow the income gap between urbarand rural areas, between rural areas in different regions, and among diferent groups within rural areas, thereby promotingthe common prosperity of farmers. Mechanism analysis reveals that digital rural construction promotes common prosperity byfaceilitating the integration of rural industries and the development of the rural collective economy.
