Abstract: Socialist humanistic economics with Chinese characteristics constitutes the latest achievement of the Communist Party of China in integrating the fundamental tenets of Marxism with China's fine traditional culture. The theoreticaorigins of socialist humanistic economics with Chinese characteristics are mainly reflected in three dimensions: first, the humanistic economic thought within the fundamental tenets of Marxism; second, the humanistic heritage of the fine traditionalChinese culture; and third, the beneficial elements of humanistic factors in Westerm economics. Clarifying the disciplinarypositioning of socialist humanistic economics with Chinese characteristics is a crucial prerequisite for constructing its academic framework. Within the architecture of the independent knowledge system of Chinese economics, Chinese Economicsserves as a comprehensive theoretical discipline at the primary level. Socialist political economy with Chinese characteristics, as its core sub-discipline , constitutes a secondary-level discipline, while socialist humanistic economics with Chinesecharacteristics, being a vital branch of the former, operates at the tertiary level. Developing socialist humanistic economicswith Chinese characteristics serves not only as the theoretical foundation for constructing independent knowledge system olChinese economics, but also as a practical imperative for advancing Chinese modernization.
